IT Explorations

An outreach initiative that provides students in 5th grade through 12th grade with enrichment activities that will expose them to college and career opportunities in STEM, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Health IT. Available opportunities are developed and hosted by REACH in collaboration with Exploration partners, RUSH staff, and REACH for IT program managers.

Who is an IT Explorations Student?

While the Exploration Program has aligned closely with Chicago Public Schools, all students within the Chicagoland area will be invited to participate if they meet eligibility requirements.

Requirements for student eligibility:

  • A resident of Chicago;
  • Identify as Black or Latinx;
  • Currently enrolled in 5th – 12th grade; and
  • Permission of parent or legal guardian obtained (unless 18+).
