RU Ready

The RU Ready Prep Center is a virtual space where Chicago high school students can develop effective writing skills and processes. Student writers work with volunteer coaches in one-on-one online appointments and attend virtual workshops with their peers. Individual appointments and workshop sessions are available throughout the Chicago Public Schools school year.

Virtual writing and study skills sessions

In 30-minute one-on-one sessions, you’ll work with Rush staff and student volunteers to discuss and collaborate on your writing at any stage in the writing process. Coaches provide specific feedback and suggest ways you can improve your writing.

Professional development workshops

REACH staff create interactive virtual workshops, both live and recorded, that help you learn about different aspects of the workforce. We focus on the critical competencies and transferable workplace skills that young people need to succeed in business and health care environments.
